We are seeking an experienced, innovative and committed Service Manager to lead on a portfolio of services focused on the recovery and wellbeing of mental health service users. Mainly supporting adults within crisis prevention settings, the role also covers service expansion through our engagement and outreach services.
In the main services cover the borough of Richmond, with some services also provided in the borough of Kingston.
Many services are offered in partnership with other voluntary sector organisations. You will bring experience of working collaboratively in a multi-agency environment, with strong communication and relationship building skills.
A strong leader, you will be a proactive member of RB Mind’s management team, helping to implement the strategic aims of the organisation including meeting KPIs, demonstrating impact and implementing change management processes when necessary. You will have a flexible and enthusiastic approach and enjoy problem-solving and a busy environment.

Senior Peer Support Worker & Team Supervisor (Adults)
Salary: £28,000 to £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full Time)
Contract: 2 years (until 31st March 2025)
Richmond Borough Mind is a vibrant local charity that has been supporting and providing services for adults affected by mental health problems and their carers for over 60 years.
We are looking for a Senior Peer Support Worker & Team Supervisor to join our Adults Peer Support team. You will have your own personal story of mental health issues and be able to use that lived experience as well as your professional skills and knowledge, to support others to improve the quality of their lives.
The Senior Peer Support Worker & Team Supervisor will support the launch of the Richmond Peer Support initiative. You will develop relationships with local professional and voluntary organisations to support appropriate referrals and signposting, lead a small team as well as managing your own caseload. With your team you will deliver a wide range of support and person-centred interventions to meet these needs, which could include peer led interventions, group support, one to one interventions and signposting where specialist advice is needed. You will manage a Peer Support Worker (Adults) and Peer Support Worker (Young Adults) who will each have their own caseload, as well as maintaining regular contact with a Peer Support Worker (Neurodiversity & disability) based at Richmond Aid.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about motivating and coaching individuals with mental health issues, and able to support people on their journey to recovery. As well as having an empathy with the core values of RB Mind, the successful applicants will have experience of providing person-centred support through one to one sessions and through facilitating groups and experience of being a team supervisor. You will have an awareness of the boundaries we work within when supporting vulnerable adults. You should be enthusiastic and self-motivated, and must be able to work on your own initiative.
This role will be supported by RB Mind Managers, and the Peer Support Coordinator in South West London St George’s Mental Health Trust (SWLStG). As this is a partnership project, the successful candidate will be working with two other Senior Peer Support Worker & Team Supervisors. One will be based in the Carers Team with RB Mind and the other will be based with Age UK supporting older adults. Nine new peer support roles have been created as part of the community mental health transformation programme (CMHTP) in Richmond. CMHTP is an initiative across England that aims to address the long-term challenges faced by people with severe and enduring mental health conditions and their carers in NHS community mental services. This is a partnership project with South West London St George’s Mental Health Trust (SWLStG), locally led by Richmond Borough Mind
